I’m not kidding.
Starting tomorrow, May 9, 2013, Diet Coke will begin it’s “Silver Ticket” scavenger hunt, giving 8 Washington D.C. area residents a chance to win free tickets to Taylor Swift’s sold-out RED Tour concert on May 11 at the Verizon Center.
Want to get free seats at T-Swift’s Verizon Center Show? Here’s how it can happen:
Diet Coke will be releasing a series of “Swift-inspired” scavenger hunt clues on its Twitter, @DietCoke, beginning at 8am tomorrow morning! The @DietCoke clues will ultimately lead Swift fans to a secret “Silver Ticket” location in the D.C. area. The first eight fans (who are 18 and older) to reach the secret “Silver Ticket” location will receive two passes to Taylor’s May 11 Concert at the Verizon Center.
D.C. is one of several cities that Diet Coke has chosen to launch their “Silver Ticket” sweepstakes in partnership with Taylor Swift. Swift was recently chosen as a centerpiece in Diet Coke’s Stay Extraordinary campaign, on which she will serve as a brand ambassador for numerous initiatives and ad campaigns.
So what are you waiting for, Hoyas? Forget finals, put down your cup of coffee and forget your struggles! Who wouldn’t want free tickets, especially for something like this:
Here’s a post that’s sure to spark some, ahem, pleasure in some of our readers
Trojan is giving away thousands of free vibrators at the Park at 14th (920 14th St, NW) this Tuesday, the 13th.
So all you ladies with the inclination for exploration or elation from some vibration sensation to cause the culmination of your frustration, head to that location between noon and 4pm while supplies last!
These “Pleasure Carts” will be carrying the ‘Tri-Phoria’ and ‘Pulse’ models, and I’ll leave it up to you to research those further so you can choose carefully. After all, it’s not every day that you can get these for free! Well…in exchange for only the amount of courage it takes you to walk up to one of these carts in the middle of the Park at 14th.
But hey, take pride in the vibe, ladies of D.C. Trojan, the giver of the quiver, is here to bring the throb to the mob of empowered women in this lovely capital. After all, you can’t trust guys for anything, amirite?
Enjoy the last rays of summer with The Golden Triangle BID’s “Picnic in the Park,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Make it to Murrow Park at 18th and H Streets for the chance to play lawn games and win some giveaways and eat free food.
I’m from New York so I’m partial to these Brooklyn natives, which means you should be too, naturally. Check out the Grizzly Bear (pictured) show Friday at the 9:30 club. Tickets ‘say’ they are sold out on the 9:30 website, but we all know how much fun Craigslist can be, so give it a go if you’re so inclined.
Head to Fort Dupont Park in Northeast for Live Well DC from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You’ll be greeted with a farmer’s market with free samples, free yoga classes, live music and giveaways. Did you say free stuff? Why yes, yes I did.
If you’re more of a lover of theater, hit up Washington Post’s Editor’s Pick, Hamlet at Folger Theatre for the last day of its production. Shows run at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. We all know how nice it is to sit in one place after a hard Friday night out. If you can entertain yourself while doing it, why not?
Attend the Parade of Nations on Pennsylvania Avenue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. As part of Fiesta DC (Catchy title, we like) there will be live music, vendors and of course, Latino culture.
